Artists’ Book Presentation: Jan Dove
Sunday, Sept. 27, 2 – 4 PM: Book artist Jan Dove shares her work and leads a hands-on make-and-take activity. It’s a rare chance to see a working artist’s process up close, and it’s completely free.
Classes We Think You’ll Love
Tetra Pak Printmaking
Saturday, Aug. 29, 10 AM – 2 PM: Turn recycled Tetra Pak cartons into beautiful intaglio prints using simple tools and techniques. It’s an easy, sustainable way to try intaglio printmaking without a big investment in materials.
Introduction to Linocut
Thursday, Sept. 3, 10 AM – 4 PM: Carve your own linoleum plate and pull your first prints on the studio press in this foundational relief printing class. It’s the perfect entry point if you’ve never tried printmaking before.
Paper Marbling Intensive
Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 19 – 20, 9 AM – 5 PM: Move from classical European marbling patterns to modern designs using metallic paints. Over two days, you’ll build a set of marbling skills you can apply to paper, fabric, and beyond.
Introduction to Printmaking
4 meetings, beginning Wednesday, Oct. 7, 5:30 – 7:30 PM: Learn three foundational printmaking techniques over four supportive sessions, then choose one to focus on for your final piece. It’s a great way to sample the full range of what the Print & Book Arts Studio has to offer.

Letterpress Printing with the Platen Press
Sunday, Aug. 23, 3 – 7:30 PM: Learn to use the studio’s platen printmaking presses by creating personalized greeting cards.
Radically Soft: Block Printed Patches on Fabric
Sunday, Aug. 30, 10 AM – 2:30 PM: Carve soft blocks and print custom fabric patches for mending or decorating your wardrobe.
