Dark & Stormy Night
Get into the Halloween spirit with stories that will chill you to your toes. After darkness falls, wonderful local authors will emerge in BARN’s Great Room with stories written to frighten and bewitch you.
BARN Bazaar
Buy direct from the maker at this annual celebration of the creativity that happens here. From jewelry to wood arts, basketry and weaving, you’ll find an unmatched selection of hand-crafted items and enjoy a day of shopping, food, and community!
Ars Poëtica
Celebrate National Poetry Month by joining us for the annual reception of Ars Poetica (or “The Art of Poetry,” a poem by Horace, c. 19 BC, advising poets on the art of writing). See dozens of works from multiple studios – inspired by poems from the Writers’ Studio.
Refract
BARN participates yearly in Refract: The Seattle Glass Experience, and you’re invited! See demonstrations by our Glass Studio makers and learn what is possible working with the kinds of equipment a home studio can accommodate.
Spring Sampler
Meet artisans in action, watch live demonstrations, and participate in hands-on activities at BARN’s Spring Sampler. Visit all 10 BARN studios, celebrate a new season, and find out what you can make at BARN.
Summer at BARN
We love having kids and teens at BARN for our summer programs on Bainbridge Island! Find classes designed especially for teens in everything from sewing and welding, to jewelry-making, robotics, and photography.
Member Socials
Every summer, BARN members gather to connect with one another and celebrate the bounty of the season. In 2022, our old-fashioned ice cream social included a very competitive ice cream making contest.
