Call For Artists

Display your work at our three-and-a-half-week exhibition in conjunction with BARN’s celebration of Refract: The Seattle Glass Experience. The exhibition will be held in BARN’s Commons. In addition to the exhibit, BARN will host a Movie Night on October 15 featuring HOLY FRIT, plus demonstrations and an artists’ reception on Saturday, Oct. 17th.

Exhibition Theme: Birds of a Feather: PNW Glass Takes Flight at BARN.

Feel free to interpret the theme as loosely or strictly as you’d like. We are looking forward to showing abstract impressions, realistic renderings, and everything in between. Your work does NOT need to explicitly deal with the theme to be included.

We are looking for submissions that showcase the best of your work. This can be art made in a Glass Studio class, outside of class using techniques learned in a class at BARN, work made during BARN’s open studios, or work by artists associated with BARN in their own studios. We welcome unique individual pieces and similar work made by several students from one class displayed as a group of multiples. We also encourage collaborations, multi-studio work, and artists working across BARN’s studios. Please note that we will not be able to provide any wall-hung display. Most work will be on display stands and pedestals.

Who can exhibit:

BARN members and friends of BARN

When:

The exhibition will be on display Oct. 7, 2026 to October 30, 2026
