At a Glance
BARN (Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network) is a non-profit organization formed in 2012 to build and operate a hands-on center for craft and invention on Bainbridge Island, WA. Originally operated out of a temporary 2,500 square foot facility on Bainbridge Island, BARN opened its 25,000 square foot facility featuring ten well-equipped artisan studios in June 2017.

A Wrap for Summer Youth and Dates for Teen Night
Another successful and creative summer for youth wraps up here at BARN, and we've pinned down the dates for the upcoming season of our popular - and free - Teen Nights. And take a peek at some our studios' upcoming classes.
Coming Up in the Wood Shop – August
The Woodworking & Small Boat Building Studio is is full of cabinet and furniture making, from a free intro to crafting a liquor cabinet to a six-meeting build of a modern end table. We’re also launching a brand-new Youth Woodworking Apprentice series, where young makers can join for a single month or all four. There is a lot to build! Come find your next project.
Coming up in the Writers’ Studio – August
Save the dates for BARN’s three-day Story Island Writers’ Conference in November, and be sure to check out September Writers’ Studio classes like Conversation With Purpose: Making Dialogue Count, Comps Night, Community Class: Write the Letter You Won’t Send, and Writing Fundamentals: Book Marketing 101. Don’t forget Sept. 30 is the deadline for our Dark and Stormy Short-Story Contest!
