Sue Spargo’s ‘Tell Me a Story’ – May 13 – 17, 9 AM – 4 PM

The thoughtful layering of appliqué, embroidered wool, fabric layering, and embellishments can be a lot like memory and life stories: Artful, complex, and unique.

In May, join a small group gathering for a week-long class exploring these connections and articulating your story through fiber art. The week-long immersive ‘Tell Me a Story’ surface design and embroidery workshop, from May 13-17, is led by Ohio fiber artist Sue Spargo.
Register now for this unforgettable experience. Just a few seats remain, and no previous experience is required.

Sue is a well-known and respected fiber artisan, recognized for her expertise and known for her intricate and visually stunning textile artworks.

Spargo’s previous intensives at BARN have been transformative experiences for her students. ‘Tell Me a Story’ promises to be a similarly shared odyssey of creativity and self-discovery. Don’t miss this chance to immerse yourself in story, learn new techniques, and create one-of-a-kind, autobiographical fiber art.

First Tuesday! March 5, 7 – 9 PM

First Tuesday is like an open mic for projects of all shapes, sizes, and stages of completion. Come a few minutes early to sign up for an official five-minute share, or just enjoy snacks, learn about great projects, and meet fellow BARN makers while enjoying creative community. This free social event is open to members and guests.
