At a Glance
BARN (Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network) is a non-profit organization formed in 2012 to build and operate a hands-on center for craft and invention on Bainbridge Island, WA. Originally operated out of a temporary 2,500 square foot facility on Bainbridge Island, BARN opened its 25,000 square foot facility featuring ten well-equipped artisan studios in June 2017.
BARN includes artisan studios focused on the following disciplines:

In the News
November and December Culinary Arts Classes Now Open
As we head into cozy, longer evenings, the Culinary Arts Studio is a welcoming space to gather with other bakers, home cooks, and appreciators of good food.
Attention: BARN Classes Subject to Sales Tax starting Oct. 1
The Washington State Legislature recently expanded the definition of "retail sale" to include classes and workshops. Effective Oct. 1, BARN will start collecting and remitting sales tax to the state for all class registrations.
Member Registration Now Open for Handwork Week at BARN
Join us for an extraordinary celebration of American craft as BARN participates in Handwork: Celebrating American Craft 2026, a national initiative led by PBS's Craft in America and the Smithsonian's Renwick Gallery.
