Vector Graphics 101: Computer Drawing With Inkscape

Saturday, Sept. 26, 10 AM – 1 PM: Learn the fundamentals of vector graphics using the free design program Inkscape. You’ll leave with the skills to create clean, scalable designs ready for BARN’s laser cutter or vinyl cutter.

Laser 101: Intro to Laser Cutter Operations

Saturday, Oct. 10 (morning or afternoon session): Learn to safely operate BARN’s laser cutter, make a small project, and start working toward independent access. Choose the session that fits your schedule:

Crafting with the Cricut

Wednesday, Oct. 14, 6 – 8 PM: Get hands-on with BARN’s Cricut cutting machine and start turning your own designs into stickers, decals, and more. No experience necessary, just bring your curiosity.

Introduction to Laser Engraving with xTool

Saturday, Oct. 17, 2 – 4 PM: Dive into laser engraving with a comprehensive introduction to BARN’s xTool machine. You’ll come away ready to start engraving your own projects.

Introduction to Electrical Soldering

Saturday, Oct. 31, 9 – 11 AM: Learn the basic concepts and hands-on skills behind soldering electronics, a great starting point before tackling your first circuit project.
