Welcome to Bainbridge Island
Just a 35-minute ferry ride from Seattle, Bainbridge Island is home to beaches, bike rides, walking trails, farms, gardens, wineries, art venues, and Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network (BARN)! Don’t miss us as you look for things to do on Bainbridge Island. Just a short distance from downtown Winslow, BARN is a 25,000-square-foot makerspace divided among 11 artisan studios. We offer classes and events for makers of all skill levels. Classes vary from short introductory classes to multi-day workshops. No membership is required!
If you’re planning a short day trip to Bainbridge from Seattle or further afield, don’t miss a free tour of BARN. Guided tours are available Wednesday or Sunday between 1 and 3 pm (excluding holidays). No need to register, just walk in and join the next tour. Your guide will take you inside all our studio workspaces, show you the tools and equipment, and answer your questions.
Have a longer stay? Peruse our catalog of creative classes and activities. Explore drawing, woodworking, fiber arts, cooking, printmaking, and more.
You also are welcome to visit BARN any day during open hours. Maps of the facility are available for self-guided tours, and you’ll be able to see inside the studios as you walk through the building.
