May’s Woodworkers Meeting: Speaker Rob Reed

Saturday, May 10,10:30 AM

BARN Great Room

Join us for a presentation by Rob Reed, an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist currently working for the City of Bainbridge Island. Rob will discuss how the City’s tree ordinance impacts island properties. Coffee and refreshments will be provided.

Rob earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Riparian Ecology from The Evergreen State College and has extensive experience in salmon habitat monitoring and restoration. His career began with the Washington Conservation Corps before moving into excavation, land-clearing, and forestry consulting. Although originally from Venice Beach, California, Rob now enjoys the Pacific Northwest with his wife, 2½-year-old daughter, and dog, occasionally short board surfing in the frigid waters of the Olympic Peninsula.

In June, speaker Tutti Peetz, President of the Olympic Driftwood Sculptors, will present on beautifully designed sculptured driftwood. No Monthly Speaker Program is scheduled for July, as is our tradition. In August, we’re planning a field trip to Port Townsend Shipwrights Co-op in Port Townsend. More details will be provided in upcoming newsletters.
