Welcome to BARN (Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network)

Dear BARN community:

The seeds of new openings are being sown as I write this! A few staff members are back “at” BARN, working remotely with our intrepid studio volunteers to post classes online and to develop safety protocols for welcoming folks back into the building. BARN is part of Governor Inslee’s Phase Three reopening, so we will enable member fobs once again when Kitsap County has entered Phase Three. We will open quietly, with smaller numbers in our studios, and most classes held online through July.

With the ingenuity and dedication of this community, we will be “learning, teaching, sharing and inspiring one another” once again, however we can! Meanwhile, the community service aspects of our mission are in full swing, and people are crafting learning opportunities in all kinds of creative ways.

Here’s hoping that you are all well, in body, mind and spirit,

Denise Dumouchel
Executive Director

Find out how BARN can add craft and invention to your life. A non-profit community center for artisans and makers, BARN has studios for everything from Electronic & Technical Arts to Woodworking. Take a class, work on a project, or come to share your knowledge with others. BARN is a unique place where well-equipped studios invite exploration and innovation.
• Everyone is welcome – you do not need to be a BARN member to participate. Taking a class is a great way to learn more about a studio and meet others who share your interests. All classes are open to ages 14 and up.
• Interested in joining a studio? Visit the studio pages on our website to learn more about each studio and see a complete schedule of upcoming events.
