BARN is excited to partner with Rambler Arts to offer the SoundWave Scholarship. This youth scholarship program pairs passionate young musicians with accomplished professionals to guide them through the process of recording and releasing their original music. The program culminates with a live performance of the young musician’s recorded work.

The SoundWave Scholarship offers an opportunity for young songwriters in Kitsap County, ages 14-18, to record their original music at Brickyard Studio (Bainbridge Island, WA) with onsite engineer and studio owner Johnny Bregar. Recipients will also be guided through a mentorship program with internationally celebrated local singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Lydia Ramsey to refine their songs’ artistic and technical elements and produce “studio-ready” material.

By pairing passionate young musicians with accomplished professionals to guide them through the process of recording and releasing their music, the SoundWave Scholarship offers a meaningful music production experience for talented young people who may not otherwise have the resources to do this on their own. Up to three recipients will be selected for this opportunity.

This scholarship program is offered through Rambler Arts, a Washington State Nonprofit based in Indianola, WA, founded by Musician/Songwriter Lydia Ramsey. Its mission is to cultivate accessible experiences in the arts and empower artists with resources.
