Be sure to visit The Commons before Oct. 1 to see picnic-inspired creations made across many of our studios. It is a celebration of what happens when makers take a single theme and run with it. All are welcome!

Handwork Returns in 2027

Handwork 2026 was such a success that we can’t wait to do it again. Mark your calendars for April 12 – 16, 2027, and get ready for a week of intensive instruction from distinguished artisans with a lively, creative community.

Handwork is a year-long, national initiative lead by Craft in America and The Smithsonian American Art Museum to showcase the importance of the handmade both throughout our history and in contemporary life. It’s a collaboration among organizations, educators, and makers to celebrate the diversity of the crafts that define America, bringing compelling stories and underrepresented art and artists into the spotligh.

BARN nominated for Best of Bainbridge

We’re excited to share that BARN has been nominated in three Best of Bainbridge categories – Community, Places/Art Studio, and Places/Family Entertainment. As we write this, the votes are being tallied in this annual poll in The Bainbridge Review.
