We’re delighted to announce that Anna Nardelli will now be representing stained glass on the programming team! Stephanie Tayengco, our glass programming coordinator, says she’ll be a great addition to the group.
By the way, if you’d like to teach a class in the Glass Arts Studio, have suggestions for new classes, or have questions about classes, please don’t hesitate to reach out to glass.programming@bainbridgebarn.org or glass.lead@bainbridgebarn.org.
We just learned that this year’s Seattle Festival of Glass REFRACT will be Oct. 16, 17, and 18. We’re looking for someone to chair (or co-chair) this exhibit for 2026. You’ll have plenty of support and previous chairs to guide you, so don’t be shy — volunteer! It’s a really fun event in which we all get to showcase our work.
Check out our hallway display case featuring the work of Marilynn Gottlieb. She is such a creative torch and mosaic artist!
Dates to Remember
- Feb. 11, 4 – 6 PM in the Commons: first quarter Glass Social and Studio Talk.
- May 2: Spring Bazaar. It’s never too soon to start preparing your artwork if you plan to participate.
- Feb. 15 and March 15 (both Sunday afternoons): Studio Cleanup days. Please come help if you can. It’s a great way to find your way around the studio and get involved.
Reminder: Please use great care during these cold months when taking glass out and refiling it. It is more susceptible to breaking, and if you break it, you get to own all the pieces.
That’s all for now! Thank you, monitors and all our Steering Committee folks who keep things rolling in the studio.
