BARN’s Fiber Arts group was gifted a beautiful collection of well-used looms. Some of them need more than a little TLC — years of disuse spent in damp places were unkind to their delicate workings.

The Fiber Arts group came to their rescue, donating many hours of labor to bring them back to life. All of these looms will soon be going at once, as classes of five or six weavers learn to create cloth for shawls, rugs, placemats and clothing. Jason Devinney, who helped with the loom restoration work, is looking forward to learning how to extend his weaving projects into clothing. “That’s part of the joy about being part of BARN. I can learn new things,” he said.
