Help Summer at BARN soar! Become a Volunteer Summer Studio Assistant. Unpaid volunteer positions are open now for teens ages 14 and up.
Training for these positions will take place during the week of June 23 – 27. Summer at BARN runs Monday through Friday, July 7 – August 8.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist instructors with setup before and cleanup after class and/or assist with participant check-in/check-out
- Welcome students and help them find their way around BARN.
- Facilitate FUN! Encourage youth participants to really engage with their activities and help them have a summer to remember
- The week after Summer at BARN (August 11-15), schedule and give a 10-minute presentation in which you discuss your experience, what you learned, and show a work product you made during your assistantship

Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network (BARN) is a growing center for artists and makers.
The Culinary Arts Studio Dishwasher/culinary technical assistant duties include dishwashing, clean-up tasks, periodic deep cleaning of the commercial kitchen and other organizational duties during culinary classes and BARN Events.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Wash dishes and clean up during and after classes and events
- Operate commercial-grade dishwasher
- Put away and organize clean items
- Sanitize high-touch areas
- Sweep, mop
- Assist teacher and other volunteers with prep and setup as needed
- Attend periodic (paid) meetings
Compensation: $20/hour
Reporting: Facilities Manager. This is a part-time, employee position.
