Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We are here to learn from unique abilities and perspectives as much as we are here to teach.

Our center is enriched by such inclusion because in doing so, we are a catalyst for exponential learning growth, dynamic collaborative results, and overall community wellness. We seek to support individuals in accessing BARN classes, workshops, and open studio hours in as varied capacities as possible and within consideration of the safety of all students, volunteers, and staff.

Financial Aid

We have generous financial aid available in the form of tuition assistance and membership grants.

Tuition Assistance

Class tuition assistance is available whether you are a member or not. Your application will be reviewed and you will receive a response within three business days.

Membership Grants

Assistance with the cost of BARN membership is available.  If you have any questions, please contact our Membership Coordinator at membership@bainbridgebarn.org or call (206) 842-4475 x202.

Building Access

Our building offers accessible parking spots, an accessible entrance, wide hallways, and an elevator. We offer an all-gender bathroom on our lower level. For information on accessibility in specific studios, contact accessibility@bainbridgebarn.org.

Hearing Assistance

Thanks to a generous grant, BARN is able to provide a sound field amplification system, which helps amplify and clarify audio, benefiting students of all hearing abilities. Please request this in advance of a class or event by emailing accessibility@bainbridgebarn.org.

Companion Program

BARN’s Companion Program provides individuals with disabilities assistance at BARN classes and events. This service is free, but people do need to register and pay any course and materials fees.

If you have your own ADA Companion that you would like to bring to assist you, please contact accessibility@bainbridgebarn.org.

All Companion Program requests must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the start of the class.

Special thanks to Bainbridge Community Foundation for their generous sponsorship of the BARN Companion Program.
