Metal-Fab’s Library of How-To Resources and Fun Projects

In addition to all of the amazingly talented and knowledgeable folks in our studio, we also have a respectable library. We have all of the manuals for maintaining and repairing our machines. We have bound catalogs (yes, actual printed catalogs on paper) of parts and tools. We also have an extensive collection of engineering principles books in our library (some of which are hidden in cabinets, but they’re there for the looking).

Some of our best resources are the periodical publications from Village Press (Home Shop Machinist, Machinist’s Workshop, Digital Machinist, and Live Steam). Each of these publications is full of engaging articles and useful tips. In addition to the print copies that you’ll find on top of the cabinets outside the Machine Shop, there’s online access to a growing list of articles.
