At A Glance
BARN (Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network) is a non-profit organization formed in 2012 to build and operate a hands-on center for craft and invention on Bainbridge Island, WA. Originally operated out of a temporary 2,500 square foot facility on Bainbridge Island, BARN opened its 25,000 square foot facility featuring ten well-equipped artisan studios in June 2017.
BARN includes ten artisan studios in the following disciplines:
- Electronic and Technical Arts
- Fiber Arts
- Glass Arts
- Jewelry & Fine Metals
- Kitchen Arts
- Media Arts
- Metal Fabrication
- Print & Book Arts
- Woodworking & Small Boat Building
- Writers
Each of the studios offers an ongoing series of classes, events, and open studios. All classes are open to anyone ages 14 and up. BARN memberships are available, and offer discounts on classes and open studio times, as well as special events.
