We’re Looking for Volunteers and Summer Youth Teachers

Happy New Year, fiber artisans! We’ve got an exciting year planned in the studio, with a lot of opportunities to get involved and contribute to the community.

Volunteers Needed
We’re seeking volunteers for crucial coordinator roles, including for youth programs, community outreach, volunteers, and treasurer. If you’d like to know more about these roles or think you can help in any of these areas, please let me know.

Summer Camp Ideas and Instructors
It’s time again to begin planning for summer youth programs. These programs are a great way to introduce young people to the joy of sewing, weaving, needle arts, basketry, surface design, and other related arts! We’re looking for youth-friendly project ideas and instructors to teach these skills to local youth. Please reach out to me or Robyn to talk about how you can help!

Fiber Friday Social
Join us from 4-6 pm on Friday, Feb. 2, for a Fiber Friday Social. Bring your projects to the studio, and connect with fellow members, fiber enthusiasts, and coordinators. Enjoy coffee, tea, and conversation while doing what you love.

Sewing Machine Orientations
We’ve got several opportunities for people who would like to be trained on the studio sewing machines. The first orientation will be on Jan. 15, followed by orientations in February and March.

See you in the studio!

Sara Bantle,
Fiber Lead
