Celebrate the 2023 Bridge Festival at BARN!

Explore BARN, Bainbridge Island’s 25,000 square-foot makerspace, during your visit to the 2023 Bridge Festival! This year, Arts and Humanities Bainbridge’s Bridge Festival includes open houses at over 31 creative organizations, and BARN is proud to be included. On October 1 from 1-3pm, visit BARN to tour our artisan studios, enjoy fun and free activities, and meet local makers!

Activities

  • Fiber Arts: Make a macramé key chain.
  • Jewelry & Fine Metals: Create a wrap-around bracelet.
  • Kitchen Arts: Using Kitchen garden herbs, create a flavor enhancement for stocks and sauces.
  • Media Arts: Visit the Small Classroom for some green screen fun!
  • Metal Fabrication: Sheet metal fun! (4-5 students at a time; sign up on the studio door.)
  • Print & Book Arts: Make tiny hand-burnished prints.
  • Tech Lab: Laser-cut a rubber stamp. (Sign up at the studio for one of six slots at 1pm or 2pm.)
  • Woodworking & Small Boatbuilding: Carving Afternoon! (Arrive at 1pm for carving instruction or stop by at any time to observe.)

These free drop-in activities are made possible by a grant from the Bainbridge Community Foundation.

About the Bridge Festival

Arts and Humanities Bainbridge invites you to the 2023 Bridge Festival. Join us in a free, week-long celebration of the arts and cultural milestones found in the walkable Bainbridge Creative District, September 30th through October 6th.

The Bridge Festival is filled with art, music, dance, sculpture, crafts, museums, galleries, wineries, makers and more.

Many creative organizations and small businesses will be participating, with open-house events throughout the week. Stay tuned for more information.
